Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SEO Audit Lane ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use our website at seoauditlane.online and the SEO Audit Lane web application. By using SEO Audit Lane, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who operates SEO Audit Lane

SEO Audit Lane is operated by Multipletech Ltd, a company registered in London, England, with its registered office at 115 Second Avenue, London, E12 6EN, United Kingdom. This privacy policy applies to the SEO Audit Lane website at seoauditlane.online and the SEO Audit Lane web application.

Contact details for Multipletech Ltd, including the primary contact email for privacy enquiries, are listed in section 15 (Contact details) below.

2. Information we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to provide the service. The main categories are described below.

2.1 Account information

  • Your name, where you choose to provide it during onboarding.
  • Your email address, used as your login identifier.
  • Login and account information, including authentication tokens issued by our platform or by Google when you use Google sign-in.
  • Account preferences, such as your chosen automation level and notification settings.

2.2 Website information

  • When you run an SEO audit, SEO Audit Lane may process the following publicly accessible information from the website URL you provide:
  • Website URLs and individual web page URLs.
  • HTTP response information, such as status codes and content types.
  • Page titles, meta descriptions and meta headings (H1, H2, etc.).
  • Internal and external links found on the page.
  • Images and image attributes, including where image alt text is missing.
  • Structured data (schema.org) present on the page.
  • Robots.txt and sitemap information.
  • Technical SEO information, including canonical tags and indexability signals.
  • Performance-related information that can be derived from the page content.
  • Other publicly accessible website information required to perform the audit.

This information is processed to produce the audit, identify issues and generate recommendations. It is derived from publicly accessible content fetched directly from the URL you provide.

3. Google services and Google API data

SEO Audit Lane is developing an optional connection to Google Search Console. At the date of this policy, this connection is not yet available to users, and no Google user data is being collected. Other Google services (such as Google Analytics, Google Business Profile or Google PageSpeed Insights) are not integrated.

This section explains how Google data will be handled once the connection is available. A user will only ever share Google data by choosing to connect their own account. SEO Audit Lane will receive only the information covered by the permissions that user authorises, and the user can disconnect at any time (see section 12).

3.1 Google Search Console data

  • When you authorise Google Search Console, we will request read-only access. The data we may retrieve includes:
  • Search queries (the queries users typed to find your pages).
  • Clicks and impressions for your pages.
  • Click-through rate (CTR) and average position in search results.
  • The pages of your site that appeared in search results.
  • Countries, devices and date ranges associated with that search performance data.

This data is used to:

  • Display search performance inside your SEO Audit Lane dashboard.
  • Analyse SEO opportunities based on real search performance.
  • Compare technical SEO findings from our own audit with your actual search performance.
  • Generate reports and recommendations that you request.

SEO Audit Lane does not use Google data for advertising and does not sell Google data to any third party.

4. Google OAuth authentication

When you connect a Google service, you authenticate with Google through Google's own OAuth authorisation process. SEO Audit Lane never asks you for your Google password.

You decide whether to grant access to the requested data. You can disconnect supported Google services from SEO Audit Lane at any time, which revokes our ability to request further data on your behalf.

Where access tokens and refresh tokens are required, they are stored securely on the server side and are not intentionally exposed to other users. We do not share your Google credentials with any other SEO Audit Lane user.

5. Google API Limited Use

Google API data received through SEO Audit Lane is used only to provide the functionality you request, in accordance with applicable Google API policies, including the Google API Services User Data Policy and the Limited Use requirements.

We do not transfer Google API data to any other application or service except as strictly necessary to provide the features you have requested.

If a Google integration is not yet implemented, we do not represent that it is currently operational.

6. AI processing

SEO Audit Lane may use artificial intelligence to help analyse audit results and produce recommendations.

When AI is used, relevant audit information may be sent to our configured AI service provider. AI may be used to:

Explain SEO issues identified during an audit.

Generate recommended fixes or content suggestions.

Generate report content where you request it.

AI-generated recommendations are recommendations only. They are not guarantees of search-engine rankings or outcomes.

We do not use AI for purposes that are not actually implemented in the application.

7. Third-party services

The categories of third-party providers used by SEO Audit Lane are:

Google APIs, used when you connect a supported Google service such as Google Search Console.

An AI service provider, used to help explain issues and generate recommendations.

Hosting and infrastructure provider, used to run the application and store data.

Email delivery provider, used to send transactional and account-related emails.

Only providers that are actually used are listed here. Where a provider is not yet in use, it is not described as active.

8. Payment data

Where a payment provider (such as Stripe) is in use for paid plans, payment information may be processed by the payment provider. SEO Audit Lane does not unnecessarily store complete card details on its own servers. Card data is handled by the payment processor according to its own compliance standards.

If payment functionality is not yet active on your account, we do not represent that it is.

9. Cookies

SEO Audit Lane uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

Essential cookies, required for the application to function.

Authentication and session cookies, used to keep you signed in securely.

Preference cookies, used to remember settings such as your selected theme or project.

Analytics cookies, if enabled, using anonymised data to help us improve the product.

We do not use advertising cookies unless they are specifically implemented in the future, in which case this policy will be updated.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in or using the application.

10. Data retention

We retain different categories of information for as long as needed to provide the service:

Account information is retained for as long as your account is active.

Crawl and audit data is retained for as long as the related project exists, so that you can compare audits over time.

Generated content and reports are retained for as long as the related project exists.

Google API data retrieved from connected services is retained for the lifetime of the connection, and is removed when you disconnect the service or delete the related project.

If your account is inactive for an extended period, we may notify you before taking any deletion action.

You can request deletion of your data at any time (see section 12).

11. Security

We implement the following security measures:

Access controls and authentication for all user accounts.

Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) for data exchanged with the application.

Secure, server-side storage of integration credentials. API keys, application passwords and OAuth tokens are never exposed in the frontend application.

User-level data isolation. Each user's project data is scoped to their organisation so that one user cannot access another user's data.

Our website crawler includes protections against unauthorised access and only fetches publicly available content from URLs you provide.

OAuth security. Google connections use Google's OAuth process and never require you to share your Google password with us.

We do not claim security controls that have not been implemented.

12. Data deletion and disconnecting services

You can delete your data and disconnect services in the following ways:

Disconnect Google services. You can disconnect a connected Google service from the Integrations page in your SEO Audit Lane account, and you can also revoke access directly from your Google account security settings.

Delete a project. Deleting a project removes its crawl data, audit issues and generated content.

Delete your account. You can request full deletion of your account and associated data from the Settings page, or by contacting us (see section 15).

When you request deletion, we remove your personal data and project records from the active application. Residual copies in backups may persist for a limited time in line with standard retention practices, after which they are also removed.

13. User rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access: you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Correction: you can ask us to correct inaccurate personal data.

Deletion: you can ask us to delete your personal data, subject to lawful retention obligations.

Objection or restriction: where applicable, you can object to processing or request that we restrict it.

Data portability: where applicable, you can receive your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.

Complaints: you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

These rights may be subject to exceptions under applicable law.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
